Ordinary bars are bent. When the Olympic bars are manufactured the manufacturer buys material from the steelworks. This steel has already some irregularity from the straightness. In the steelworks, steel is considered to be straight at an irregularity of less than 2.3 mm to 201 cm (on the bar length). With those irregularities' bars are difficult to hold and tend to turn around as if looking for a center of gravitation. The more you put on the greater the tendency is. On the bent bar the bearings are curved, and the risk of wrist injury is increased. Only a perfectly straight bar can remain straight for years. This is the reason why we first straight up the steel.

- We test EVERY single bar by X-rays to detect bar's defects which can occur while manufacturing. Straightening of bars, heat process and surface treatment can cause gentle defects. These bars can bend after a while. In average, one of ten bars are damaged this way. Luckily, thanks to this testing, we can reveal it and we eliminate such defects.
- We choose randomly a few pieces of steel from every product line which we test. The steel is bent at least by 550 kg for one hour. Then we measure if the bar did not bend with the accuracy of millimeters. You can see the process in the video bellow.
